Summary:
Administration of TBA Corporate Safety & Health performance and compliance activities IIEssential Job Functions:
AInterprets safety & health codes, standards, and regulations.
BOrganizes and conducts program audits and risk assessments that evaluate the effectiveness of occupational safety procedures in the work environment.
CInvestigates accidents utilizing hazard analysis and other analytical techniques to identify and correct unsafe acts and hazardous conditionsDConsults and coordinates with other professionals including industrial hygienists, physicians, and safety engineers in the resolution of complex occupational safety and health issues.
EDevelops occupational safety and health procedures including establishing criteria to control or eliminate moderately serious hazards in facilities and operations.
FCreate monthly EHS Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports as assigned.
GFunction as a resource to plants in planning and implementing best practices in EHS programs.
HPartner with TBA Production Engineering in ensuring safety for new program equipment.
ISupport plants in achieving and maintaining ISO 45001 certifications and training.
JComply with all regulations set by the Federal & State OSHA/EPA/DOT and Local Governmental requirements and regulations.
KConduct internal audits to ensure company compliance with all company EHS policies and procedures.
LCoordinate the work of outside contractors and consultants to support creation of permit applications and process performance testing, as needed.
MAssist in engineering new processes and devices to meet or exceed EHS regulations.
NDevelop and maintain data for EHS KPI, monthly reports, and executive presentations.
OIdentify and inform management of compliance issues and improvement opportunities PConduct EHS compliance trainingQConduct training and coaching for management and team members on EHS issues pertaining to their specific position and job duties in support of appropriate laws utilizing TBA PE training materialsRDevelop/complete annual departmental business planning objectives and all assigned special projects, as required.
SDraft EHS policy and procedures for management review and approval.
TFollow safety, quality, confidentiality, and information security policies and procedures.
IIIMinimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Safety/Environmental Health (or related degree) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
ISO45001 Lead Auditor Certification a plus CSP or CHMM certification not required but a plus
Experience:
Greater than four (4) years of relevant experience and academic preparation or eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Experience in manufacturing and/or the automotive industry preferred EHS compliance experience or coursework ISO45001 System Implementation and Management experience preferred Personal/Technical Skills:
General manufacturing and industrial equipment knowledge required.
General understanding and working knowledge of basic engineering principles.
Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations (Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi) Strong organization and planning skills.
Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports.
Effective presentation and writing skills.
Ability to multitask and facilitate problem solving & resolution.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Effective time management skills and responsivity to shifting priorities.
Ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Excellent Excel (pivot tables and formulas) and Word (expert in formatting documents) skills.
Language Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Spanish or Portuguese is beneficial to work with Mexico/Brazil/Argentina facilities Computer/Software:
Solid working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.

, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.
).

Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.
Plant:
Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise levelPPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etcmay be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areasPersonal attire standards may apply.
Travel:
Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the timeTravel to all manufacturing plants within TB including:
