Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering expertise for fundamental understanding of manufacturing issues.
Solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
Uses rigorous processes and technical knowledge to build detailed technical understanding for key process steps.
Provide engineering-level production support to manufacturing operation.
Develop and maintain systems to monitor and proactively address equipment/process performance, including trend analysis and implementation plans.
Receive and integrate new technologies to improve process capability while ensuring proper processes are followed.
Actively engage in plant safety initiatives and projects.
Recommend and implement improvements to processes and equipment.
Lead and/or support projects involving cost reduction, process optimization, and new products/processes.
Develop and update engineering and operations documentation.
Provide training for operations workforce regarding equipment or operations changes.
Work with other team members and departments to ensure that product output at each process step meets or exceeds manufacturing budgets and goals.
Develop subject-matter expertise of material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing and engineering.
Execute cost reduction and PEx projects (DMAIC/DESIGN) in line with business objectives.
Develop and use project plans and timelines to achieve project goals without sacrificing safety, intellectual property, or quality. Adhere to all Corporate, Business Unit, and Site guidelines for same.
Work Hours:
Standard hours (M-F 8-5)
Flexible hours may be required to support off-hours experimentation on weekends and evenings.
This position requires off-hours coverage on nights and weekends on a rotating basis with co-workers.
Education &
Experience:
BS or MS in Engineering (Glass, Ceramics or Chemical disciplines preferred)
1-3
years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

Translate engineering solutions to requirements, then further to process and/or equipment designs which deliver on required performance criteria.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work on an independent basis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
Experience with experimental design.
Basic knowledge of Six Sigma (DMAIC / DESGN) methodology.
Creative / innovative problem solving.
Thoroughly carry assignments to completion.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated results with glass processes
Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification
BS in Glass, Ceramics or Chemical Engineering
Lean Manufacturing techniques

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
