Corning's Glass Technologies segment manufactures chemically strengthened cover glass, such as Gorilla? Glass? for the consumer electronics market and glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays ("LCDs") that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Purpose of the Position:
Coordinate the daily management of the glass forming process.
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of initiatives that are aligned with the plant manufacturing strategy in order to achieve optimum plant & department efficiency.
Provide leadership in the development and training of future and current employees.
Ensure adherence to plant operating systems and documented work practices.
Meet department and plant financial goals including cost reduction and capability improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a group of process engineers in the daily operations of the manufacturing process.
Manages process control and process discipline (PCPD) for forming process which includes SOS and Process Governance.
Manages process documentation and ensures it is up to date and compliant with division standards.
Lead and/or support forming process and equipment developments. This includes ensuring that all methods for process change management is utilized effectively.
Responsible for process yields, product attributes, cost reduction, and process capability improvement efforts.
Communicate and report operations performance metrics to production teams, plant operations staff and functional leaders.
Perform performance reviews and talent development plans for salaried direct reports.
Execute cost reduction, lean and/or PEx projects (DMAIC/DESIGN) in line with business objectives.
Ensure the protection of Corning's Intellectual Property (IP).
Work Hours:
Standard hours (M-F 8-5)
Flexible hours may be required to support off-hour and/or weekend operation requirements.
Education & Experience:
BS or MS in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Glass, or Ceramic disciplines preferred)
4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
