PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
In this role, you will provide engineering support, maintenance, continuous improvement and cost reduction projects as well as first generation projects for the Harrodsburg Plant. Emphasis in Mechanical projects will involve usage of AutoCAD and SolidWorks design software also pneumatic controls solutions.
ROLE WITHIN GROUP:
Production Support of automated glass processing and handling equipment at the Bottom of the Draw (BOD).
Mechanical equipment Rebuild Support, and some Logistics and Packaging Support projects
Small project leadership under guidance.
Support Harrodsburg drafting standards and management policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We provide daily third level production support involving troubleshooting, problem solving, and working with the equipment maintenance and operations organizations.
Provide Mechanical Engineering support for product packaging and shipping equipment.
You will work with other Engineering personnel to learn existing and install newly designed equipment and automated systems along with Production, Process and Equipment Engineering personnel in the application of equipment solutions and design concepts to implement continuous improvement/cost reduction projects.
Potential to lead small projects including design, funding, trades coordination, and documentation.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Possible international travel, all travel anticipated to be less than 5%
HOURS OF WORK/WORK SCHEDULE/FLEX-TIME:
8 AM? 5 PM / 24 hour production support
Weekend team (periodic) & project team production coverage during start-ups
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor Science, Mechanical Engineer with a GPA of 3.5 or above
REQUIRED YEARS AND AREA OF EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of related experience in manufacturing or Mechanical fields. Relevant internships will also be considered.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Demonstrated knowledge of individual mechanical components, devices, materials, tooling, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to solve equipment/process issues and determine root cause through evaluation and data analysis in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
Capable of understanding and executing to specifications, scopes, budget, and timeline. Ability to plan upfront, communicate road blocks, and execute solutions quickly and efficiently.
We work with peers and Production and Maintenance work force, providing/receiving direction as necessary to meet production or project targets.
We work in a fast paced manufacturing environment with rapidly changing goals and priorities.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Principal understanding through implementation/installation process with solid mechanical skills.
Technical curiosity towards mechanical equipment functionality and design for improvements.
Experience working with air cylinders, pneumatics valves, servo motors.
Working knowledge of automated mechanical systems, including low-level control devices such as pneumatic valves and instrumentation and AutoCAD and SolidWorks mechanical design software, and for use in applications such as FEA. Basic knowledge of document managing system ePDM (PDM Professional) is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
